Study Monitoring
One of DISK’s most important responsibilities is to ensure a high standard of education at DSV. Through study monitoring, we make sure that rules are followed, review new course literature and maintain an ongoing dialogue with DSV to improve the quality of its programmes.
How Can the Academic Representatives Help Me?
The academic representatives can answer straightforward study-related questions and pass feedback on to teachers and other staff at DSV. This may include questions about the choice of course literature, teaching methods and course syllabi.
There is also a student safety representative whom you can contact regarding work-environment issues or unfair treatment. It can sometimes be difficult to know which of the two to contact—reach out to the academic representatives, and they will ensure that your case reaches the right person.
When you submit feedback or complaints, you remain anonymous to the department unless you choose otherwise or the matter requires your identity to be disclosed. In such cases, you will always be asked whether the teacher or department may be told who you are.
Who Can Become an Academic Representative?
Academic representatives are employed and paid by DISK Student Union. As a rule, students at DSV can apply for one of the available positions.
Because the representatives are students, new representatives are regularly sought as current ones graduate. Interested? You are always welcome to contact us and register your interest, even when no position is currently being advertised.
