Foo Bar
Foo bar is, in addition to our student pub, also our union premises. Most events that DISK and our sections arrange take place here, which means that the venue is open on most weekdays after 15.45. Just like in the cafe, members and active members of DISK have discounts in the Foo Bar.
Events in Foo Bar
On Mondays during even weeks, the MES section has its creative events, Särimners Kultingar’s subsection Krigsvinen has role-playing events on Mondays during odd weeks. On Tuesdays it is Särimners Kultingar that has game events, on Wednesdays DISK KM arranges the Wednesday pub, on Thursdays DISK Workshop takes place, and on the last Friday of the month we celebrate the weekend with a Friday pub, preferably with karaoke.
More specific information about our events can be found on the event page here on the website and on Skitviktigt, which can be found on DSV’s toilets and bulletin boards. If you are interested in a specific section, it is a good idea to follow their own social media, which you can find on the section page.
Food & drinks in Foo Bar
Foo Bar also has its own kitchen, which means that we can offer cooked food during events, for example in the pubs and thank you-parties. During most other events, at least small snacks such as toast, popcorn and french fries are served.
Alcohol is only sold and consumed during pubs, certain thank you-parties and at DISK KMs closed events. Fortunately, we have plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives too!
Allergies
As Foo Bar is a place for everyone, it is important that you do not bring known allergens into the premises. These include peanuts, which are often airborne. As one of our students is airborne allergic to carrots, this is also forbidden to bring into Foo Bar.
Where is Foo Bar?
Foo Bar is located on the second floor of Borgarfjordsgatan 6C, an entrance through which you can also reach DSV.
If you instead enter DSV through the main entrance at Borgarfjordsgatan 12 (Where Aula NOD is located), you can walk through the blue corridor until you reach the café and the microwave room. Behind the café there is an exit from DSV, if you take it you will see the entrance to Foo Bar right in front of you.
How many visitors are in Foo Bar?
At the moment there is no active counter in Foo Bar.
Renting Foo Bar
It is also possible to rent Foo Bar for private events. However, it is important to reach out in good time for booking, Foo Bar is a popular venue and is also frequently used by our sections!
