Foo Bar

In addition to being our student pub, Foo Bar is also our student union venue. Most events organised by DISK and our sections take place here, which means that the venue is open on most weekdays after 15:45. 

Activities

On Mondays during even-numbered weeks, the MES section organises creative events, while Krigsvinen, a subsection of Särimners Kultingar, organises role-playing events on Mondays during odd-numbered weeks. On Tuesdays, Särimners Kultingar hosts game nights; on Wednesdays, DISK KM hosts a Wednesday pub night; on Thursdays, DISK Workshop takes place; and on the last Friday of the month, we celebrate the start of the weekend with a Friday pub night, often featuring karaoke.

Food & Drink

Foo Bar also has its own kitchen, allowing us to serve cooked food during events, such as pub nights and volunteer appreciation parties. During most other events, at least some simple snacks are served, such as toasted sandwiches*, popcorn and French fries.

Alcohol is only sold and consumed during pub nights, certain volunteer appreciation parties and DISK KM’s private events. Fortunately, we also offer plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives!

Where Is Foo Bar?

Foo Bar is located on the second floor at Borgarfjordsgatan 6C. This entrance also provides access to DSV.

Alternatively, if you enter DSV through the main entrance at Borgarfjordsgatan 12, where Aula NOD is located, follow the blue corridor until you reach the café and the microwave room. There is an exit from DSV behind the café. Once outside, the entrance to Foo Bar will be directly in front of you.

Hyra Foo Bar?

Foo Bar can also be rented for private events. However, it is important to contact us well in advance to make a booking, as Foo Bar is a popular venue that is also frequently used by our sections.
