DSV’s Facilities

Here you will find information about our facilities and practical matters such as group rooms and access cards.

  • An access card is required to enter the premises.
  • Lecture halls and group rooms are mainly located on floors 1 and 2.
  • Aula NOD is located on the entrance level.
  • L30 is located on floor 1.
  • Many lectures are recorded and published through DSVPlay.
  • Information about access cards and the premises is primarily handled by DSV.

Education

During your studies, you need to keep track of course syllabi, schedules, examinations and information from DSV.

  • Read the course syllabus and check the course’s learning outcomes.
  • Keep track of schedules, course information and deadlines.
  • Check which rules apply to exams and resit exams.
  • Required course literature is listed in the syllabus or course information.
  • Find out how the examination will be conducted and assessed.
  • For questions about a course, contact the course coordinator or the student office first.

Your Rights

As a student, you are entitled to fair and legally sound education, clear information and the opportunity to influence your studies.

  • Course syllabi and forms of examination must be clear.
  • You are entitled to receive results and feedback within a reasonable time.
  • You may request an explanation of your grade.
  • You may request reconsideration if you believe a decision is incorrect.
  • Course evaluations give you the opportunity to influence your education.
  • If you experience problems, you can contact a study counsellor, student representative or student safety representative.
  • Academic representatives work to ensure that the education maintains a high standard and that students’ views are taken into account.

Housing

Finding student accommodation in Stockholm can be difficult, so it is a good idea to start searching as early as possible.

  • SSSB provides student accommodation in Stockholm.
  • Student union membership may be required to accumulate queue days with SSSB.

  • Private landlords and other housing websites can supplement your search.
  • Be cautious of scammers.
  • Never pay any money before you have verified the accommodation, the agreement and the landlord.
  • Always make sure that you have a written rental agreement.

Get Involved

DISK is about more than just studying. By getting involved, you can influence your education, meet other students and gain valuable experience.

  • Join one of DISK’s sections.
  • Help with events, orientation activities or other activities.
  • Get involved with the Board or become a student representative.
  • Work with Systemvetardagen or other projects.
  • Become an academic representative or student safety representative.
  • As an active member, you can gain experience in leadership, project work and collaboration.
  • You will have the opportunity to meet more students and build a network for the future.

Active Membership

You become an active member by getting involved in a section, the Board or another part of DISK.

As an active member, you may gain access to special activities, membership benefits and the opportunity to represent DISK at various events. Specific requirements and benefits may vary between sections.
